Hanging out in New Orleans you can finally feel that fall wind bustling through the French Quarter. Recently I was out enjoying the breeze while playing a little guitar when I had the great fortune to play for a young man around seven years old. This child has a few things that he struggles with, being non-verbal happens to be one of them which usually aids in his rather frustrated attitude. Almost immediately when he noticed the guitar he ran over and jumped in my lap (a rarity I assure you) and placed his mouth on the guitar to feel the vibrations of the strings. His eyes lit up, a smile stretched across his face and I immediately had a new best friend. Little moments like this are the reason that I love music. The joy of playing is only surpassed by bringing joy to others with music and this is what I strive for everyday. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to play for you someday!
